Thunder Welcomes Geoff Merrick, Head of Services

Merrick to oversee delivery operations, optimize revenue processes, and drive data-driven decision-making to support growth and market positioning.

SAN FRANCISCO, September 12, 2024 — Thunder, a next generation Salesforce and Cloud consulting, implementation and managed services company, announced the addition of Geoff Merrick to its executive leadership team as Head of Services.

Geoff Merrick joined Thunder as Head of Services on Tuesday, September 3rd, bringing with him over 25 years of experience in the industry, including more than 20 years in the Salesforce ecosystem. His unique skill set, combining technology architecture, deep industry expertise, and Salesforce consulting, makes him a great addition to Thunder.

In his most recent role as EVP of Industries at Silverline, Geoff was responsible for strategy, go-to-market innovation, and overall success of their client business. His experience at Silverline, coupled with his extensive background, including prior roles at Accenture, Cloud Sherpas, Siebel Systems, and AIG, equips him with the wisdom and ability to bring creative yet pragmatic solutions to market.

As Thunder’s Head of Services, Geoff will be instrumental in advancing the company’s strategic vision and ensuring that operations align seamlessly with business goals. He will serve as a key executive, overseeing delivery operations, Go-To-Market (GTM) activation, industry strategies, and revenue processes, driving data-driven decisions that support Thunder’s growth and market positioning. His leadership will be critical in ensuring that Thunder continues to meet and exceed client expectations while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have Geoff on board, and I am confident that his contributions will have a lasting positive impact on our company and in executing our big vision and roadmap for the future,” says Carter Wigell, Thunder’s Founder and CEO.

Merrick spent his first week meeting with leadership executives in Denver for onsite onboarding.

“I’m already incredibly impressed by the foundation the team has built,” he says. “Thunder’s level of talent, our teams, our connections, our client successes, and our culture are just a few of the things that stand out to me as true differentiators in our ecosystem and beyond.”

Merrick will join other members of the Thunder team at the upcoming Dreamforce conference in San Francisco next week.
