Top 10 Takeaways from Salesforce TDX

Written by Luis Arriola, Senior Solution Architect at Thunder

I recently had the opportunity to attend the Salesforce TDX developer conference in San Francisco. TDX is an annual gathering tailored for developers, consultants, architects, and technical team members who specialize in designing, configuring, and maintaining Salesforce solutions. It was an inspiring event filled with insights, innovation, and collaboration.

This year’s focus? Agentforce, Agentforce, Agentforce! Salesforce’s AI-powered solutions, including Agentforce, are revolutionizing how businesses enhance customer experiences while equipping technical teams with tools to boost agility, productivity, and innovation.

Salesforce made many announcements about Agentforce. The following are the 10 things I’m most excited about:

  1. Dev orgs are now available with Agentforce and Data Cloud:
These free orgs allow you to explore Salesforce AI features, including Agentforce, and gain a deeper understanding of the capabilities offered by Data Cloud. Click here to learn more.
  2. Create a Flow with Einstein AI (GA* Now):
Select the “Let Einstein Help You Build” option when creating a new flow. Salesforce Einstein Generative AI will generate a flow based on natural language instructions.
  3. Flow Summarization with Agentforce (GA Now):
Have you ever inherited a complex flow? Use Agentforce to generate a clear flow summary instantly.
  4. Agent API (GA Now):
Use the Agent API to build customizable Agentforce agents that can be programmatically triggered wherever a REST API is supported. For instance, you can seamlessly integrate custom Agentforce-driven features into your website or deploy headless agents to automate complex tasks.
  5. Agentforce for Developers (GA Now):
This AI-powered extension, available on both the VSCode and Open VSX marketplaces, offers a suite of tools designed to streamline the development lifecycle. It includes Dev Assistant, which enhances Apex coding efficiency by providing intelligent suggestions for code improvements and offering auto-completion capabilities.
  6. Agentforce Apex Test Case Generation (GA Now):
Ask Agentforce to generate unit test cases for Apex methods, ensuring sufficient test coverage for your Salesforce org and enabling faster deployments.
  7. Data Modeling Agent (Pilot in Summer 25, GA in Winter 26):
I’m incredibly excited about this upcoming feature! With simple natural language, you can instruct Agentforce to generate complete Salesforce data models—including objects, fields, and relationships—based on different business cases, effortlessly streamlining your workflow.
  8. AgentExchange:
Agentforce actions and templates, created by ISV partners, can be easily integrated into your logic to enhance functionality. Click here to learn more.
  9. Salesforce is hosting a virtual Agentforce Hackathon:
Do you have a great idea for an autonomous agent? Click here to join the hackathon.
  10. Become an Agentblazer:
