Why I Chose Thunder

Why I Chose Thunder
Choosing to join a new company to work for is a major decision in anyone’s career journey. There are many different opportunities with various SIs throughout the Salesforce ecosystem; here is why I chose Thunder.

First, here is a little background information on me: I spent the last 12+ years in the Salesforce ecosystem. First at Deloitte as a consultant for 6 years advising clients on their Salesforce investment, and then at Salesforce for 5 years as a Lead SE and an Account Executive. Most recently,  I was a practice lead at Slalom before I marched to Thunder.

These different roles within the ecosystem helped me see Salesforce from many angles; unfortunately during this journey, I also witnessed dozens of clients who failed to use Salesforce to its fullest potential. Even worse, in many situations Salesforce implementation went sideways because the Salesforce SI lacked:

  • Consulting acumen
  • Adequate Salesforce expertise
  • Mature activation practice

This is the problem we are set to solve at Thunder. Our brilliant talent team has worked hard to hire only the best of the best in consulting, activation and Salesforce expertise. In fact, I was surprised to learn that out of 1,000 applicants last year – only 2% were made an offer! This thoughtful and purposeful hiring is what makes Thunder a cut above the other SIs out there – and it all starts with our founder and CEO, Carter Wigell.

Carter was one of the first 100 employees at Salesforce, and has made it his mission to assemble a team of highly skilled Salesforce consultants from respected Salesforce SIs such as Deloitte, Bluewolf, Slalom, and Accenture. This includes Susan Jaggers, who led change management at IBM, to be the Activation Lead for Thunder.

This is why I chose Thunder! The people, who are experts in their field and a wonderful group of collaborators who share the desire to help organizations fall in love with Salesforce to achieve their most ambitious goals.

Thunder has helped 150+ customers to love Salesforce forever, and I am excited to help continue to grow that number!
