In honor of International Women's Day, we asked the ladies at Thunder about their experiences as women in tech. Here's what they had to say!

I have strived to be valued for the work that I do - throughout my many careers - but that has only worked when leadership acknowledges the work over identity - whether that be gender, age, or other labels that are used to limit or quantify value and potential.

Samantha SmithHead of Delivery Operations You will enter a lot of rooms in the tech world with no women present. The number is way higher for women of color. We’ve got to make our own seats in order to make our voices heard. It is imperative to look for ways to fill those seats for people behind you.

Arleen Saluja-WesterkampDelivery Director Once you become fearless, life become limitless. Change the mentality that you are limited by your gender and become truly fearless and know that you are worthy. Find your voice and let them hear you roar!

Kimberly KinseySr. Project Manager I feel very blessed to work at Thunder where I have many incredible, powerful individuals to look up to, including strong female leadership. I am proud of our diversity and excited to come to work everyday where I am inspired by those around me!

Grace MillerAccount Executive I have often been the only woman in the room over a career of 35 years: but that isn't where I focus. I focus on ensuring that there is an army of women being actively hired, mentored, and learning to differentiate themselves not by gender but by the quality of their work and ideas. We have an amazing group of fierce women at Thunder who are filling a LOT of rooms.

Susan JaggersVP Change Management As a female in tech not only have I always had a seat AT the table, but often at the head of the table. Whether you lead an account team, run your own territory or a product strategy - TECH is the great equalizer - a true meritocracy where the only limit is your drive and capability. In my view a woman can be both a (mom, sister, friend, athlete - you name it) while also being insanely good at what they do.
